Kathy just moved to the area for a new job and doesn't know anyone yet. As a
single mother of three, she worries about how she'll pay for child care and isn't
sure how to find a high-quality day care or nursery school in the area.

Roberto's family is struggling. He was injured and is unable to return to work.
The gas for his wife's commute is eating into their food budget and they worry
about how they will heat their home next year, with less income and more bills. |
Rachel and Kevin work hard, but supporting two kids isn't easy. They want to
buy a house but sometimes have to use credit cards to pay for things like groceries
and gas. Saving money is a priority, but their budget is already very tight. |
Community Action provides hope and help to these families.
Through nearly 40 programs across our region, Community Action provides a network
of support that has the ability to empower, educate, and improve the lives of people
living with lower incomes. We help over 25,000 people each year in Franklin and Hampshire Counties, and
the North Quabbin region of Massachusetts. Founded in 1965, Community Action has
become one of the largest non-profit human service agencies in the area.
