We are seeking an innovative and collaborative leader to join our senior administration team. The Director of Program Alignment & Compliance will provide agency-wide leadership in the areas of contract compliance, risk assessment, reporting, continuous results oriented management, monitoring, and evaluation of program outcomes.
Requirements include: Bachelor’s degree in related field with a minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred; Master’s degree or advanced certification in related field preferred; Three years of applied organizational research experience preferred. We are seeking an individual with demonstrated experience with organizational research, data collection and tracking methods, and analyses.

Community Action is seeking a positive, open-minded, compassionate person to join our team as a full-time Home Visitor with the Hampshire County Healthy Families program. This nationally recognized long-term home-visiting program serves pregnant and parenting teens and their babies. Experience providing supportive services to families with infants and toddlers as well as working with culturally diverse populations required. This position requires daily travel to homes across the Hampshire County service area as well as thorough documentation and record-keeping. Candidates must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to comfortably navigate computer database. Candidates must demonstrate ability to effectively organize job tasks, be flexible, and have reliable transportation. Previous experience with home-visiting and/ or parenting a plus! Excellent training, supervision and employee benefits. Starting pay rate $15/ hour.
PARENT - CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER
DATA AND PLANNING COORDINATOR
The Data and Planning Coordinator assists the Data and Planning Manager in all activities involving the ongoing implementation of PROMIS and other data, planning, and monitoring tasks. The Data and Planning Coordinator works with staff across departments to provide technical assistance, develop systems to ensure data integrity, and trouble shoot inconsistencies in data entry, management, and output. Other responsibilities include: gathering data on community needs to support program planning; developing instructional materials and leading PROMIS trainings; monitoring PROMIS users to ensure accuracy of data; and developing a wide variety of materials to support program functions. Minimum qualifications include a BA/BS in related field, 1 year supervisory, training or project management experience; or Associate degree in related field, 3 years experience, and 1 year supervisory, training or project management experience; or High School diploma or GED, 5 years related experience and 1 year supervisory, training or project management experience. Ideal candidate will have extensive experience with internet-based data collection and reporting systems and demonstrated experience as a trainer of adult learners. Dynamic and highly collaborative work environment. Position is full year, 30 hrs/ week (includes full competitive benefits), with the potential to increase to 37.5 hrs/week. Pay rate range: $15.80-$17.00.

FOOD SERVICE SUPERVISOR
The Parent-Child Development Center is looking for a Food Service Supervisor. Responsible for the coordinating and supervising of staff for five main kitchens and all satellite locations in Hampshire, Franklin, and West Hampden County regions. Associate’s Degree in Hospitality Management or related field. Four years professional cooking experience, including one year supervisory/management experience OR a High School Diploma/GED and a Certificate in Culinary Arts, five years professional cooking experience including one year supervisory/management plus Serv-Safe Certification.
Successful candidates must have banquet or institutional cooking experience with a thorough knowledge of inventory management and experience developing menus using USDA standards. They must be able to bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and load and unload food for delivery. Have excellent organizational and communication skills. Must demonstrate ability to be highly productive in a fast paced environment, display cultural competence, and be sensitive to the needs of families with lower incomes. Employment contingent upon satisfactory completion of a complete background investigation, including: CORI, DCF, SORI and fingerprint-based checks. Salary range $21.02 to 22.55 per hour, 37.5 hours/full year, highly collaborative work environment, and excellent benefits.

DEVELOPMENTAL SERVICES SUPERVISOR

Large Head Start and Early Education and Care Provider (serving children 6 weeks to 5 years) seeking a dynamic and skilled professional to oversee the delivery of mental health and disabilities services and provide some direct work with children and families. Supervises Disabilities and Mental Health Specialists and works closely with staff, families and community providers to build capacity, build bridges between systems and services, and provide support for crisis management. Works with program leaders to continually improve best program practices in case management and developmental supports. Candidate must be a licensed mental health professional with Master’s Degree and 5 years experience working in mental health or systems serving children and families, with 1 year supervisory or management experience.. Must have excellent observational, assessment, communication and case management skills. Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Word and comfortable with collecting and tracking electronic data required. Part or full time, position is located in Northampton, MA. $22.15 - $23.85/hr, up to $46,508 annually for full time, depending on qualifications and experience. SUBSTITUTE BUS MONITOR
Community Action’s Parent-Child Development Center is seeking substitute Bus Monitors in Amherst, Northampton, Orange, Turners Falls, Ware and Westfield. Bus Monitors assist infants, toddlers, and preschoolers on and off the school bus. Bus routes run 1 ½ - 3 hrs during the early mornings, midday, and late afternoons. Must be able to engage children in positive social behaviors; assist children to their seats and secure them safely; safely unload children and release to their authorized adult; work cooperatively with the driver, staff, and parents; and maintain a professional and positive attitude. All applicants must be at least 18 yrs. old and have reliable transportation to meet the bus. Prospective employees must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and successfully pass a background check, plus submit a current physical. CPR and First Aid certified preferred.
