Responsible for overseeing assigned programs and providing ongoing supervision to Program Coordinators; overseeing contract compliance and coordination of grant management within the department; providing fiscal support to Director; help in managing and overseeing program initiatives that enhance or expand the department. 

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years experience in program management and supervision related to human services and have experience with management of complex budgets, including multiple funding sources and allocations. Must be able to work both collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment. Must have excellent time management skills, with attention to detail and sensitivity to the needs of people with low incomes.

BUS MONITOR

You can make a difference in the start of a child's school day.  Ensure that transportation services are carried out in a safe and appropriate manner that is consistent with all state and Head Start guidelines. Paid Training by PCDC.  Maintain a safe and orderly environment on the bus and create a bridge between home and school.  Some experience working with young children, basic knowledge of vehicle and pedestrian safety protocols, CPR and First Aid certification offered upon hire. 

Westfield, part-time up to 25 hours per week in a 3 tier shift.  School year September through May.  Pay Range: $9.37-10.18/hour.

SUBSTITUTE BUS MONITOR
Community Action’s Parent-Child Development Center is seeking substitute Bus Monitors in Amherst, Northampton, Orange, Turners Falls, Ware and Westfield. Bus Monitors assist infants, toddlers, and preschoolers on and off the school bus. Bus routes run 1 ½ - 3 hrs during the early mornings, midday, and late afternoons. Must be able to engage children in positive social behaviors; assist children to their seats and secure them safely; safely unload children and release to their authorized adult; work cooperatively with the driver, staff, and parents; and maintain a professional and positive attitude. All applicants must be at least 18 yrs. old and have reliable transportation to meet the bus. Prospective employees must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and successfully pass a background check, plus submit a current physical. CPR and First Aid certified preferred. SUBSTITUTE COOK
A Head Start Preschool is looking for a reliable individual with a High School Diploma or GED and 2 years cooking experience. Must be Serv-Safe certified. Kitchens are in Franklin, Hampshire and Hampden Co. This individual must have flexibility in schedule and be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.  Job will include all aspects of cooking/serving and cleanup.   Pay rate is $12/hour.  Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory Early Education & Care Background Record Check (BRC) investigation. NUTRITIONISTS

Seeking one full-time and one part-time (23 hours/wk) 

Responsible for providing nutrition assessments, education and counseling to participants in individual and group settings.

Candidates should have a BA in Nutrition (required), experience in community or clinical nutrition and good communication skills.  Candidates must also be sensitive to the needs of the participant population, have reliable transportation and be available to work at multiple sites with some evenings and weekend hours.  Employment is contingent on a satisfactory CORI and a safe driving record. Both positions are benefits eligible.
