ACCOUNTS PAYABLE MANAGER
Community Action is looking for a full-time Accounts Payable Manager to work as a key member of the fiscal team located in Greenfield, MA.  Major duties include preparation of all invoices for entry into accounting system, maintenance of vendor records, A/P reports generation, monthly reconciliation of A/P, and 1099 production. Reports directly to C.F.O.

Specific requirements include 2-3 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a minimum of an Associate Degree in accounting, with non-profit experience a plus; proficiency with Windows-based accounting systems, MS Excel and MS Word; strong verbal and written skills; ability to handle multiple tasks and to meet deadlines.  Strong customer services skills required.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT TECHNICIAN
Community Action’s Data & Information Technology department is searching for a part-time Support Technician. Job responsibilities include PC, communications systems and user support at sites located primarily in Hampden County. This position is 20 hours/week with excellent pro-rated benefits. Hourly rate commensurate with experience.

Independent work with a variety of programs and people, with support from a strong team. Must have a minimum of three years of experience with grantwriting, meet deadlines under pressure, be dedicated to excellence, have good attention to detail, be able to synthesize large amounts of information, juggle multiple projects, think big picture, and write clearly and persuasively. HEALTH SPECIALIST
Community Action's Parent-Child Development Program seeks a Health Specialist. Reporting to the Health Manager, the Health Specialist will work to ensure compliance with health related requirements for children, birth to five. Responsibilities include supervision of clerical staff, tracking, monitoring and reporting; site visits and coordination of in-house and community based health related activities. Ideal candidate will have a current R.N. in the State of Massachusetts. BA or BS, with a minimum of 2 years experience in public health, pediatric or maternal and child health nursing strongly preferred, with some supervision experience required. Must be computer literate, have excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills, and must demonstrate ability to be highly productive in fast paced environment. Employment is contingent upon satisfactory Criminal Offender Record Investigation (CORI) and an Early Education & Care Background Record Check (BRC) investigation at the time of hire and then subsequently every two years. PART-TIME MAINTENANCE WORKER
18 hrs week/ full-year, Northampton/Greenfield/Westfield area. General knowledge of routine carpentry, plumbing, heating and electrical.  Minimum 2 years experience with maintenance. HS diploma or GED. Must be able to safely lift 50-60 pounds. This mainteneance staff will work in both Franklin and Hampshire counties. $12.50-$13.54/hr.

BUS MONITOR

SUBSTITUTE BUS MONITOR
Community Action’s Parent-Child Development Center is seeking substitute Bus Monitors in Amherst, Easthampton, Orange, and Turners Falls. Bus Monitors assist infants, toddlers, and preschoolers on and off the school bus. Bus routes run 1 ½ - 3 hrs during the early mornings, midday, and late afternoons. Must be able to engage children in positive social behaviors; assist children to their seats and secure them safely; safely unload children and release to their authorized adult; work cooperatively with the driver, staff, and parents; and maintain a professional and positive attitude. All applicants must be at least 18 yrs. old and have reliable transportation to meet the bus. Prospective employees must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and successfully pass a background check, plus submit a current physical. CPR and First Aid certified preferred.
