Community Action is seeking an energetic, positive-minded, compassionate individual to join our team as a full-time Home Visitor with the Franklin County Healthy Families program.   This intensive and long-term home-visiting program serves pregnant and parenting teens and their babies.  This position requires daily travel to homes across Franklin County as well as thorough documentation and record-keeping.  Candidates must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to comfortably navigate computer database.  Experience providing supportive services to families with infants and toddlers as well as working with culturally diverse populations required.  Candidates must demonstrate ability to effectively prioritize job tasks, to be flexible, and have reliable transportation.   Previous experience with home-visiting and/ or parenting a plus! Pay range $13 - $14/ hour depending on experience. Offices are in Greenfield and Orange.

Community Action is seeking a dynamic, compassionate, and hard-working human services professional to join our team as a Supervisor for our Franklin County North Quabbin Healthy Families program.  This position offers the opportunity to positively affect the lives of young families by motivating and supporting a team of home visitors who focus on maternal infant health, parenting education, and family stabilization.  The ideal candidate has a mental health background as well as experience with home-visiting and reflective supervision practice.   Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant leadership/ supervisory experience as well as knowledge of the FC/NQ community.  Hours for this position may vary from 30 to 37.5 per week. This position also requires travel throughout the FC/NQ region.  Pay rate is $18-19 per hour.

Responsible for assisting the Director of Business Operations with a variety of tasks, with a strong focus on monitoring parent fee activities to ensure maximum revenue collections and compliance with EEC Financial Assistance regulations; A/R reporting related to parent fees activities; issue fiscal terminations for non-payment of fees, process weekly Family Child Care Educator invoices; enter attendance for EEC billing and other related tasks. 

The Fiscal Assistant must be proficient utilizing Microsoft Excel and Word, have excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, be comfortable working in fast-paced, deadline driven environment, and have the ability to work independently or as a member of a team. Be or quickly become knowledgeable and remain current with: Massachusetts Early Education and Care (EEC) Financial Assistance rules and regulations, policy guides, memos and other communications as they pertain to PCDC operations, PCDC enrollment processes, and Community Action fiscal policies, procedures and systems. 

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years related experience or an Associate’s Degree and 1 year experience. Bilingual preferred. The position is 35 hours/ week. $13.17 to $14.18/hr. This position is based in Greenfield.

The Family Services Supervisor supports and oversees Family Advocates to ensure effective case management, file and data integrity, collaboration and family engagement according to regulation and program goals. Must be a confident supervisor with demonstrated experience with case management in human services and be able to use internal data system for tracking, monitoring and reporting.

Candidate must demonstrate excellent professional judgment and have the ability to make sound decisions, knowledge of Head Start requirements preferred. Must be computer literate (with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel), and demonstrate excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills. SUBSTITUTE BUS MONITOR
Community Action’s Parent-Child Development Center is seeking substitute Bus Monitors in Amherst, Northampton, Orange, Turners Falls, Ware and Westfield. Bus Monitors assist infants, toddlers, and preschoolers on and off the school bus. Bus routes run 1 ½ - 3 hrs during the early mornings, midday, and late afternoons. Must be able to engage children in positive social behaviors; assist children to their seats and secure them safely; safely unload children and release to their authorized adult; work cooperatively with the driver, staff, and parents; and maintain a professional and positive attitude. All applicants must be at least 18 yrs. old and have reliable transportation to meet the bus. Prospective employees must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and successfully pass a background check, plus submit a current physical. CPR and First Aid certified preferred. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. $9.00/hour. Training will be provided.

Community Action Youth Programs seeks energetic, organized, self-motivated individual with case management, youth group, and community resource experience to work with low-income youth ages 14-21 to identify goals, develop skills, access resources and achieve success.  Advocate will refer youth and families to community resources,  provide individual case management, plan and host groups using evidence based curricula, and work closely with area high schools to help families navigate school related issues.  Must be able to work independently and as part of a team, including extensive coordination with families and school systems. $13.50 - $14.50/hr; 37.5 hrs/wk; excellent benefits/training.  Bilingual (Spanish-English)/Bicultural applicants encouraged.
