In response to and in recognition of the current COVID-19 health crisis, CAPV Fuel Assistance has moved to remote operations for the indefinite future. While we are not open to walk-ins, we are processing all applications remotely. In order to do our part to keep employees, clients, and community members safe, we have adapted our services by eliminating in-person contact. We are utilizing technology to communicate. We can still be reached by phone, but please be patient if there is a delay in our usual time frame for responding. Thank you for understanding.
Each winter, Community Action helps warm thousands of Franklin and Hampshire County families. Available to both homeowners and renters, the Fuel Assistance Program helps income-eligible participants afford their home heating expenses. Program eligibility is determined by family size and gross annual household income.

If you are a returning applicant, your application will be mailed to you along with an application checklist. Applications for people with a deliverable fuel source such as propane have been mailed out in September. Applications for people with a public utility are being mailed out in October.
