Dinner is provided and transportation can often be arranged as needed. Community Representatives can also be reimbursed for childcare and transportation expenses.

There is not any one set of experience or knowledge needed to be on the Board! There are lots of different experiences and skill sets that make a great Board Member. Community Action’s Board is a friendly and welcoming group that works together because they believe in the agency’s mission. We welcome the input of everyone in the group and are particularly interested to hear from people who have used our services.

Being on the board is a chance to use your voice and experience to influence real decisions, learn a lot, develop leadership skills & professional experience, build connections, and give back in a deep, meaningful wayguiding Community Action to best serve our community. As a Board Member, you can take great pride in being a part of an organization that keeps 28,000 of our neighbors fed, warm, supported, and connected each year, making a huge difference in people’s lives.
