Prior experience working with individuals with barriers to employment strongly preferred.  CORI, safe driving record, reliable car required.  Travel throughout Hampshire County and Franklin County.

GRANTS and BUSINESS MANAGER

The Community Services Department is seeking a well-qualified Grants & Business Manager. The primary responsibilities include: manage a $4.2 million department budget which includes over 25 funding streams; work directly with the Department Director, Assistant Director and the Program Director of the Continuum of Care (CoC), and CPAV’s Fiscal Department to ensure compliance; and provide overall fiscal capacity, budget management, and grants coordination.

The ideal candidate will have a BA in Accounting or Finance, required; minimum of 4 years’ experience in grant and budget management, required; experience with non-profit organizations, fund accounting, and multiple funding sources, preferred; experience with State and Federal funding (especially HUD funding) and regulatory requirements, preferred; knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as they relate to non-profit organizations, preferred.

Community Action Pioneer Valley seeks 2 energetic, highly organized individuals with excellent customer service skills to work with low-income individuals & families to answer our Information & Referral line, conduct over the phone comprehensive benefits screening, advocacy, and scheduling of appointments, and provide in person supportive services. In this position you will meet with people at various locations throughout our service area to do in-depth assessments of need using a strength based model, help with applications for and access to SNAP, health insurance, financial assistance and more, educate households about their budgets, develop plans of action to improve household stability and make connections to resources.

The ideal candidates will have a High School or HS Equivalency and five years’ experience in Human Service or related field or applicable work experience working with individuals and families that have low incomes; excellent computer skills; demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team; and, reliable access to transportation to travel throughout Hampshire and Franklin county. Bi-lingual (English-Spanish) preferred. 37.50hr/wk. Salary range $17.13 - $18.17. Bilingual differential available. Excellent benefit package. Preferred qualifications are High School diploma or GED and 5 years food preparation experience in a food service setting. Minimum qualifications require High School diploma or GED and 1 year related cooking experience in a food service setting. Must have current Servsafe Certification and Allergen Awareness Training. Must have a good driving record. 25 hours per week. Pay range: $14.10-$14.96.

A Head Start Preschool is looking for a reliable individual with a High School Diploma or GED and 2 years cooking experience. Must be Serv-Safe certified. Kitchens are in Franklin, Hampshire and Hampden Co. This individual must have flexibility in schedule and be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.  Job will include all aspects of cooking/serving and cleanup.  

 

Pay rate is $13.25/hour.  Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory Early Education & Care Background Record Check (BRC) investigation.
