The Resilience Hub

The Resilience Hub

What is the Resilience Hub?

The Resilience Hub is a new community center in downtown Northampton that aims to reduce the impacts of poverty and homelessness. The Hub will be a space that makes it easier to access many services and resources in one location.

The core of the Hub will be a low-barrier resource center that helps people with daily needs, like food, medicine, and clothing. The Hub will also help people connect to long-term services like healthcare, housing, and legal support. Throughout this work, the Hub will center values of harm-reduction and trauma-informed care.

The Hub will work to improve how people access social services by working with the people who use them. The planning and development of the Hub will be co-led by people with lived experience of poverty and homelessness. Their input will be critical to building the Hub, and will help hold the Hub accountable to the people it serves.

What is Community Action Pioneer Valley's role in the Hub?

CAPV is the City of Northampton’s lead partner in coordinating and developing the Hub. CAPV is working to build a coalition of partner agencies and local groups to coordinate services at the Hub. The CAPV Hub team is also leading research to learn from similar projects around the country.

How Can I get Involved with the Hub?

The Hub is in its infancy, and in need of support! If you’re interested to get involved, you can reach out to CAPV’s Hub team to learn more.
