Financial Counseling

A financial counseling session is always tailored to your needs and goals. We can provide information, support, and problem solving. Talking about money can be hard, but we’re here to make it less stressful. You can schedule as many as you want to. Some clients meet with us for a few weeks and some clients work with us for over a year.

We can meet with you if:

• You live in Hampshire county, Franklin county, and the North Quabbin
• Your income is at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level

We are not taking any new financial counseling clients at this time. Please check back in the Spring.

The first time we meet, we will talk over the phone to complete the enrollment forms and learn more about you. The financial counselor will ask you about your goals, your story, and what you want to get out of your sessions. Then we will work with you to schedule a follow up appointment.

Save Up Summer is an incentivized savings program for people in Franklin County. You make a monthly savings goal, receive one-on-one financial counseling, and attend group workshops. Save Up Summer runs July-October with a cohort of 10 participants.

When you complete the sessions and meet your goal, receive $400 deposited into a savings account.

You are eligible for Save Up Summer if you:

• Are over 18
• Live in Franklin County
• Have income below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level ($2,430 monthly for one person)
• Have an existing bank account

Save Up Summer is currently full for the 2023 season. Check back in Spring of 2024 if you’re interested in getting involved next year!
