Serving people affected by
violence and trauma.

Testimony from professionals and community members:

"Violence, tragedy and disaster can strike anyone at any time in any community. It can be very isolating and alienating to hold the consequent pain, loss and sadness alone. CCRT helps people to share their stories, links them with other people who have had similar experiences or who can offer support, and to begin the process of healing by accessing their own strengths and sources of resiliency. We are a community based team of local volunteers who come from the communities that we serve; so we know our communities well and are highly invested in helping them to draw upon their many assets and networks that will facilitate recovery."
- Dr. Joshua Miller, Professor, Smith College School of Social Work

"CCRT was quick to respond with empathy and expertise. They are an integral part of our Safe Schools Plan to address recovery needs in the event of an emergency."
- Joyce Hanousek, School Psychologist, Gateway Regional School District

"It is my firm belief that through the assistance of CCRT many families received the support and information that was needed during this tragic time (youth homicide).
- Detective Douglas Brown, Montague Police Dept.

"Franklin County needs to know what a capable and understanding group of professionals are in our midst to help during any crisis. We're grateful for their call when we were still in shock after our bank robbery.
- Martha Richardson, CEO Franklin First Federal Credit Union

"I feel strongly that the CCRT is always ready to reach out to the Latino community in crisis. After a recent homicide they organized a group which was very productive and helpful for community healing.
- Teresa Cordoba, Latina Outreach Coordinator, New England Learning Center for Women in Transition

"The CCRT staff was very supportive in helping leaders plan for many venues of care after a violent incident in our community. Their expertise was highly valued.
Sue M. Gee, Superintendent, Gill-Montague Regional School District
